Core Values

Anoopam Mission undertakes its spiritual philosophy through a fusion of "bhakti yoga" (the yoga of devotion) and "karma yoga" (the yoga of action). Bhakti yoga is devotion to the divine and includes prayer, chanting and meditation. But in actuality, it goes far beyond this to incorporate a state of mind in which every word, thought and action is dedicated to the Lord. Karma yoga involves performing selfless service – expecting nothing by way of compensation, gratitude or praise – and humbly offering the results of the work to the Lord.

Our followers practice devotion by living according to every word of their guru, Guruhari Sahebji. He instructs us to live a life that reflects truth, love, devotion, non-violence and compassion. He emphasizes the need to recognize the divinity in every human being. Sahebji inspires us to do this by serving humanity for it results in the service to the Lord Himself. The Sahebji Youth movement considers the following three core values paramount:

Inclusiveness

We embrace diversity and strive to bring everyone together with the goal of serving God by serving humanity. We provide a positive and inclusive environment where youth feel comfortable sharing their opinions and expressing themselves freely.

Integrity

We uphold the values and principles set forth by our Hindu culture. We strive for transparency in our socio-religious philosophies and believe in the importance of righteous living and being a positive influence on future generations.

Leadership

We are deeply committed to the idea of “leading by example.” We focus on fostering this philosophy, which has been demonstrated to us by our guru, Sahebji. We strive to cultivate leadership qualities within our youth.
